I just gotta know!

February 22, 2008
I have a dear friend who can't stand not being "in the know." Seriously, she has to have details and facts as soon as possible! Well, yesterday I pulled an _______________ (name of friend).
My "gender" sonar was scheduled for Monday, March 3. Not a problem until I realized that Cottontails (the once a year arts/crafts show similar to Christmas Village) is only in town until March 2. Sidenote: we are giving Abby's room a "big girl" makeover...moved her furniture around, changed her bedding, and removed her "baby" stuff since she will no longer be "the baby". I've been looking for wall decor, accessories, etc and can't really find anything-so I was very excited about Cottontails because I knew I could find some cute stuff there.
Anyway...I started thinking....how can I go to Cottontails and NOT know what I'm having? All the cute possibilities of clothing, room decorations, etc etc. I mean, I would have to get business cards, order on-line, pay shipping....what sense does that make? So-the only reasonable thing to do was to change my doctor's appointment. Right? I called and asked if I could come in on Thursday instead of Monday....the nurse said "you mean the following Thursday?" I said, "Oh no, the Thursday BEFORE!" She actually said yes...but she sounded a little skeptical. I didn't DARE tell her I was changing it so I could go shopping at Cottontails and know what I was having! So I have a BIG request of all you readers....next Thursday PRAY that we get a good sonar picture and EVERYTHING is perfectly CLEAR...then I can shop in peace!!!!! :)

PS....Absolutely NO comments about "not finding out", "ruining the surprise", blah blah blah
People...do you really think that I (who am the ultimate planner) would NOT find out? Give me a break!

Sounds like a good excuse to move it up to me!!!!!!!!! I had a CRAZY dream about you last night! Remind me to tell you but you don't want me to say it in public, I promise! ;-)

Alright, I KNOW you wrote that last part just for me, so I'll save you my "don't find out, it's so much fun" speech.
However, you absolutely MUST have a poll before Thursday so we can all guess what your having.
And, just think, this time next week, you'll know already! I'll try and be supportive of your desire to find out and I might even get a gender appropriate gift for you, since we'll know what your having. :) I'll look forward to reading your blog next Thursday for the big announcement!

Good thing you didn't have to wait until Monday...that would have been unbearable! ;-)

I completely get this! The thought never even crossed my mind to not find out what I was having. And I always made my ultrasound for the earliest date possible, too.
I've gotcha covered girlie!
